Kebbi Pilgrims Agency Chairman, Governor Honored for Strengthening Hajj Healthcare Delivery

The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro, has received an Award of Excellence from the agency’s medical team in recognition of his leadership in advancing healthcare support for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The award, presented by a delegation led by Dr. Abdullahi Yusuf, underscores what the team described as a “proactive and hands-on leadership approach” that has prioritized medical preparedness as a core component of Hajj planning in the state.
According to the medical team, Yaro’s consistent engagement with health officials, oversight of medical screenings, vaccination programs, and welfare services has significantly strengthened the agency’s operational readiness.
They further described him as one of the most active pilgrims board chairmen in the country, citing his direct involvement in health-related activities as a critical factor in improving service delivery.
In a related development, the team also honored the state governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, with an Award of Excellence for his administration’s support toward enhancing pilgrimage operations, particularly in the area of healthcare provision.
Responding during the presentation, Yaro said the recognition would reinforce his commitment to sustaining high standards in pilgrims’ welfare, noting that collaboration with medical personnel and other stakeholders remains central to achieving a seamless Hajj exercise.
The recognition highlights Kebbi State’s strategic focus on integrating healthcare into pilgrimage planning, positioning the state as a benchmark for effective Hajj administration in Nigeria.
