Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has received an award of excellence in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, in recognition of his commitment to the welfare and well-being of pilgrims from the state during the 2026 Hajj exercise.

 

Service providers engaged in this year’s Hajj operations jointly organized the award ceremony and presented the honour during a special dinner attended by officials of the Kebbi State Government delegation and representatives of the participating companies.

 

Presenting the award on behalf of the service providers, Managing Director of Musharik Azzahabia Visa Providers, Muhammad Sultan, praised Governor Idris for his unwavering support to Kebbi pilgrims and his administration’s efforts in ensuring a successful pilgrimage.

 

He said the service providers were proud to partner with the Kebbi State Government in delivering quality services to pilgrims from the state.

 

Sultan also commended the Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro Enabo, for his dedication and hard work towards the success of the 2026 Hajj operations.

 

Former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service and Chairman of the 2026 Hajj Government Delegation, Alhaji Jafar Ahmed-Jega (Rtd.), received the award on behalf of Governor Idris.

 

He expressed appreciation to the service providers for the recognition and described the honor as a testament to the state government’s commitment to pilgrims’ welfare.

 

Ahmed-Jega was accompanied by the Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and other members of the government delegation.

 

Speaking on the recognition, Governor Idris described the award as an honour not only for his administration but also for the people of Kebbi State.

 

He noted that the recognition reflected the diligence and effectiveness of the Pilgrims Welfare Agency in carrying out its responsibilities.

 

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting Hajj operations and improving services for pilgrims.

 

The award was jointly sponsored by Musharik Azzahabia Visa Providers, Shuraka’ul Haira, and Daleel Al Mu’aleem Transport Company.
