Kebbi Governor Commended as State Provides 3,600 Rams for Pilgrims’ Hadaya

The leadership of the Sacrifice (Hadaya) Committee has commended the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, following the procurement and deployment of 3,600 rams designated for the Hadaya rites of pilgrims performing Hajj 2026.
Dr. Sulaiman Fana led the Committee to disclose this during an inspection visit to a designated facility in Makkah, where officials receive and process sacrificial animals for Kebbi State pilgrims ahead of the ritual exercise.
According to Dr. Fana, the state government had fully funded the procurement of 3,600 rams, subject to final verification and classification of pilgrims performing the Ifrad and other form of Hajj that does not require the Hadaya sacrifice.
He explained that pilgrims exempted from the sacrifice under their Hajj category would receive the monetary value of the ram as a state-supported welfare incentive, describing the intervention as a strategic welfare package aimed at easing pilgrims’ financial burden.
The Committee reiterated that the initiative reflects Kebbi State’s structured approach to pilgrim welfare management and operational efficiency in collaboration with relevant Hajj authorities.
Dr. Fana further praised Governor Nasir Idris for what he described as sustained commitment to pilgrim welfare, operational funding, and support systems that continue to enhance the overall Hajj experience for contingents from the state.
