The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has fixed an initial deposit of N5 million for intending pilgrims preparing to perform the 2027 Hajj, with payments scheduled to run from June 27 to July 30, 2026.

Chairman of the Agency, Alh Faruku Enabo disclosed the arrangement during an address to stakeholders, calling on prospective pilgrims to complete their deposits within the stipulated period to secure their participation in the annual Islamic pilgrimage.

Enabo said the early payment window forms part of the agency’s preparations for the 2027 Hajj exercise, enabling officials to commence registration, planning, and other logistical arrangements well ahead of the pilgrimage.

He urged all intending pilgrims across Kebbi State to take advantage of the registration period and comply with the payment deadline to avoid missing the opportunity to participate in the exercise.

According to him, the agency introduced the early deposit schedule to promote better financial planning for both intending pilgrims and the Hajj administration while ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated preparation process.

The chairman noted that timely registration would also allow the agency to compile accurate records of prospective pilgrims and facilitate the implementation of subsequent Hajj guidelines as they become available.

The announcement officially marks the commencement of preparations for the 2027 Hajj in Kebbi State, with the agency beginning early registration and mobilization of intending pilgrims.

The agency encouraged interested residents to visit designated payment and registration centres for further information and necessary documentation before the July 30 deadline.

The annual Hajj pilgrimage attracts thousands of Muslims from Kebbi State, making early planning a critical component of the state’s efforts to ensure efficient coordination, compliance with national Hajj requirements, and a seamless pilgrimage experience for all successful applicants.
