Kebbi Agency Distributes Meat from Hadaya to Pilgrims in Makkah

Pilgrims from Kebbi State participating in the 2026 Hajj have begun receiving meat from their Hadaya (Sacrificial Animals), following the completion of the ritual in Saudi Arabia.
The distribution exercise was supervised by the Chairman of the Hadaya Committee, Hon. Sulaiman Fana, who led the process through Local Government Hajj Guides responsible for coordinating pilgrims from their respective local government areas.
According to officials, the distribution is ongoing to ensure that all Kebbi State pilgrims benefit from the sacrificial rite, which forms part of the Hajj activities.
The exercise was made possible through the intervention of Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, who sponsored the Hadaya for all pilgrims from the state.
The gesture has been widely commended by pilgrims, who described it as a significant relief and a demonstration of the state government’s commitment to their welfare throughout the pilgrimage.
Hadaya, the ritual sacrifice performed during Hajj, is an important obligation for pilgrims undertaking specific Hajj rites. The meat is typically distributed to pilgrims and those in need in accordance with Islamic teachings.
The distribution comes as pilgrims continue other post-Arafat rites in Makkah and its surrounding holy sites ahead of the conclusion of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
