The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that the cost of Hadaya for intending pilgrims performing Tamattu’i and Qirani for the 2026 Hajj exercise has been fixed at Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦250,000), payable in Nigerian currency.

Hajj Gazette gathered that the announcement followed the inauguration of a nine-member Hadaya Committee, established to coordinate and manage the procurement of rams for pilgrims. The committee has already commenced engagements with two Saudi Arabian companies to ensure the provision of rams at competitive and affordable rates.

The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, stressed that Hadaya is a compulsory act of worship for specific categories of pilgrims. He urged intending pilgrims to register appropriately through the committee to ensure the safe, reliable, and proper fulfillment of this religious obligation.

Similarly, the Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, charged committee members to deploy their experience and expertise to guarantee transparency, efficiency, and overall success in the management of Hadaya.

The Hadaya Committee is chaired by Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir Yusuf and includes eight other members drawn from religious scholars and community leaders, with Alhaji Umar Yakubu Kabara serving as Secretary.

The Board reassured intending pilgrims of its unwavering commitment to delivering a smooth, transparent, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj exercise, with all Hadaya arrangements executed strictly in line with best practices.
