Kano Begins Distribution of Hajj Kits to Intending Pilgrims

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the distribution of hand luggage and uniforms to intending pilgrims, signaling a key phase in the state’s preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Board, Sulaiman Dederi.
He explained that Director General (DG) of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, flagged off the exercise.
The DG stated that the initiative is designed to ensure that all registered pilgrims are properly equipped ahead of their journey to Saudi Arabia.
He directed Hajj center officers across the 44 Local Government Areas to coordinate the distribution efficiently, stressing the need for an orderly and timely process that reaches pilgrims at the grassroots.
Matawalle disclosed that the state has concluded the processing and collection of visas for its intending pilgrims, indicating a high level of operational readiness for the exercise.
He added that the Board has put in place all necessary arrangements to facilitate a smooth Hajj operation.
According to him, the materials provided are sufficient to cover all registered pilgrims without exception.
Items being distributed include hand luggage, uniforms for male pilgrims, wrappers and hijabs for female pilgrims, as well as Hajj guide books to assist them throughout the pilgrimage.
He urged pilgrims to utilize the items responsibly and maintain them properly during the exercise.
The distribution marks a critical step in Kano’s Hajj logistics rollout, as authorities intensify efforts to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated pilgrimage for participants from the state.
