Kaduna Opens 2027 Hajj Registration, Urges Pilgrims to Deposit N8 Million Early

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has officially commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj and urged intending pilgrims to begin the process immediately to avoid missing the registration deadline.
In a public announcement signed by the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti, the Agency directed prospective pilgrims to visit any of its 23 Local Government Pilgrims Offices or its headquarters to obtain the designated bank payment teller and complete their registration.
The Agency stressed that intending pilgrims must pay all Hajj deposits exclusively into its official bank account and warned them against making cash payments or transferring funds into private or unauthorized accounts.
It stated that it would not accept responsibility for losses resulting from payments made outside the approved account.

Although the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has fixed the minimum initial deposit for the 2027 Hajj at N4 million, the Kaduna Agency advised intending pilgrims to deposit N8 million while awaiting the announcement of the final fare.
According to Datti, intending pilgrims who make a higher initial deposit will be better positioned to complete the balance once authorities announce the final 2027 Hajj fare.
The Agency also encouraged early registration, recalling that several prospective pilgrims missed the opportunity to perform the 2026 Hajj after failing to complete their registration before the deadline.
It reminded intending pilgrims that NAHCON has set September 26, 2026, as the official deadline for the 2027 Hajj registration and added that it would not accept any registration after the closing date.
The Agency advised members of the public seeking additional information to visit its headquarters or any of its 23 Local Government Pilgrims Offices.
It also provided a dedicated telephone line for enquiries, urging intending pilgrims to complete the registration process without delay to secure their Hajj slots.
