Hajj 2026: No Nusuk ID, No Entry into Makkah, Holy Sites – Saudi Authorities

Saudi Arabian Authorities have announced that all pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj must carry the Nusuk ID Card as a compulsory requirement for entry into the holy city of Makkah, Masjid al-Haram, and other designated pilgrimage sites.
The directive positions the Nusuk ID Card as the primary identification and access credential throughout the Hajj period.
Officials stressed that pilgrims arriving at access points without the card will be denied entry under all circumstances, reinforcing a zero-tolerance compliance framework aimed at ensuring order and security during the pilgrimage.
The card is also designed to enhance operational efficiency, serving as a gateway to multiple services provided to pilgrims across various stages of the Hajj rites.
From accommodation verification to movement coordination within the Holy Sites, the card is expected to streamline the overall pilgrimage experience.
Pilgrims are therefore required to keep the card on their person at all times.
Distribution and Accessibility
To ensure seamless adoption, the Nusuk ID Card is being issued in both physical and digital formats.
The physical card is distributed through designated service provider companies responsible for each pilgrim’s Hajj arrangements.
In parallel, a digital version is accessible via the Nusuk App and the Tawakkalna App, allowing for flexible and real-time access.
Pilgrims who have not received their card have been strongly advised to immediately contact their service providers to prevent any disruption to their pilgrimage.
Support and Enquiries
For additional support, the Pilgrim Care Centre remains operational, with dedicated helplines available for pilgrims within Saudi Arabia and those outside the Kingdom.
The enforcement of the Nusuk ID Card underscores broader efforts by Saudi authorities to strengthen crowd management, enhance security protocols, and deliver a more structured and efficient Hajj operation.
