The Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded its comprehensive Pilgrims Education, Orientation and Enlightenment Program (BITA) for 965 intending pilgrims, in a strategic move to strengthen readiness for the 2026 Hajj.

The exercise, coordinated under the leadership of the Executive Secretary, Alhaji Sa’adu Hassan, is positioned as a core pre-departure intervention aimed at equipping pilgrims with the required knowledge and discipline for the spiritually demanding exercise.

The program covered critical components, including Hajj rites, health and safety protocols, travel logistics, and general conduct in Saudi Arabia. The initiative is designed to mitigate operational risks, enhance compliance with guidelines, and ensure a seamless pilgrimage experience.

The Board emphasized that the completion of the BITA programme reflects its commitment to delivering a well-coordinated and efficient Hajj operation, aligning with national standards and global best practices.

With the orientation phase now concluded, the Board is expected to transition into the next stage of logistical and administrative preparations ahead of the airlift of pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj season.
