Flynas Completes Pilgrims’ Return Airlift to Nigeria, Commends Tinubu, NAHCON

Saudi-designated Hajj carrier, Flynas, has concluded the return airlift of Nigerian pilgrims who participated in the 2026 Hajj exercise, completing the operation within two weeks.
The airline expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for their support in ensuring a smooth and successful exercise.
According to a statement issued by Flynas’ Media Office, the airline completed the operation on June 20, 2026, with the transportation of the final batch of pilgrims from Kebbi State to Nigeria.
Flynas operated a total of 32 inbound flights during the return phase of the pilgrimage
The Chief Executive Officer of First Planet Limited and General Sales Agent of Flynas in Nigeria, Alhaji Umar Kaila, disclosed that the airline successfully transported 11,832 pilgrims from Kebbi, Kaduna, Lagos, Ogun, Niger, Nasarawa, and Osun states back to Nigeria.
The pilgrims arrived through various airports across the country, including Birnin Kebbi, Minna, Lagos, Kaduna, Abuja, and Abeokuta.
Flynas commended President Tinubu for providing the necessary support that enabled the airline to execute a seamless Hajj operation.
It also praised the NAHCON’s chairman, Ambassador Isma’il Abbas Yusuf, for its effective coordination, professionalism, and commitment throughout both the outbound and inbound phases of the pilgrimage.
In addition, the airline expressed gratitude to state governors and the management of various state pilgrims’ welfare boards for their cooperation and support, which contributed significantly to the success of the operation.
Flynas deployed six Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft for the 2026 Hajj exercise, facilitating the efficient transportation of pilgrims between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.
The successful completion of the airlift marks another milestone in Nigeria’s 2026 Hajj operations as stakeholders review the exercise and begin preparations for future pilgrimage seasons.
