The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the official launching of the registration and data capture process for intending to participate in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
The board also set a definitive deadline of February 8, 2026, for the completion of all necessary documentation.
In a public notice issued on January 15, 2026, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, called on all prospective pilgrims to promptly submit their international passports. This step, he stated, is critical for facilitating visa processing in accordance with the protocols established by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
He clarified that the data capture exercise is a compulsory prerequisite for securing a place on the 2026 pilgrimage, warning that failure to finalize registration before the February deadline could result in exclusion from the Hajj journey.
He also stressed the importance of early compliance, the board noted that proactive registration will streamline the documentation phase and help avoid unnecessary complications. Prospective pilgrims were strongly urged to complete the process swiftly to circumvent last-minute disruptions.
The Board reiterated its dedication to orchestrating a seamless and orderly Hajj operation and requested full cooperation from all applicants during the registration period.
For additional information, intending pilgrims are directed to contact the board via its official communication channels or visit its office in person.
