Umrah: Nusuk Adds Electric Cart Booking at Grand Mosque
By Khadija Muhammad Umar
Pilgrims can now book electric carts for Tawaf and Sa’i at the Grand Mosque in Makkah through Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk application, offering additional mobility support for worshippers and people who have difficulty walking.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on October 25, 2026, that the service allows pilgrims to arrange access to electric carts for performing the two major rituals at Masjid al-Haram.
Tawaf involves circling the Kaaba, while Sa’i requires walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
Both rituals involve movement over considerable distances, making mobility assistance particularly important for aged pilgrims and those with physical limitations.
The electric cart service operates in coordination with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, which oversees the provision of the carts and assistance to users during their rituals.
The initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to expand digital services for Umrah pilgrims and visitors while improving access to facilities at the Grand Mosque.
Umrah: Nusuk Adds Electric Cart Booking at Grand Mosque
By making cart bookings available through Nusuk, pilgrims have an additional channel for accessing mobility assistance as they plan their worship in Makkah.
However, pilgrims are advised to check the Nusuk application for current availability, booking conditions, designated service locations and any applicable charges before making arrangements.
The service is particularly relevant to international pilgrims, including Nigerians travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, who may need to plan ahead for mobility assistance during their stay.
Nusuk serves as a digital platform for various services relating to pilgrims and visitors to Saudi Arabia’s holy sites.
The availability of electric cart booking through the application provides another option for pilgrims seeking assistance with movement during Tawaf and Sa’i.
