Kano Amirul Hajj to Launch Distribution of Governor’s Sallah Gift to Pilgrims

The Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj exercise and Emir of Gaya will on Saturday officially launch the distribution of the Sallah gift promised by the Kano State Government to pilgrims performing this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The distribution exercise follows an earlier commitment by the Governor of Kano State to provide Sallah support to pilgrims before their departure from Nigeria.
According to a notice issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sulaiman Dederi, the launch ceremony is scheduled to take place at Kano House, No. 1, Ground Floor, at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
The board directed all its staff members to attend the event and participate in the distribution exercise to ensure its smooth and successful conduct.
The initiative forms part of the state’s efforts to support pilgrims during their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and enable them to celebrate Eid al-Adha with ease while fulfilling their religious obligations.
Officials are expected to use the occasion to reaffirm the government’s commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of Kano pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
