A total of 4,361 Nigerian intending pilgrims has so far arrived in the holy city of Makkah following the completion of their religious activities and visitation in Madinah ahead of the commencement of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The latest update, obtained from Hajj Gazette’s 2026 Hajj Tracker, showed steady movement of Nigerian pilgrims from Madinah to Makkah as preparations intensify for the main Hajj rites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims reportedly departed Madinah after observing prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque and visiting the Raudah as well as other major Islamic historical sites in the city as part of their spiritual activities before proceeding to Makkah.
The movement forms part of the coordinated arrangements by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), state pilgrims’ welfare boards and service providers overseeing the welfare, transportation and accommodation of Nigerian pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage exercise.
The latest figure highlights the gradual increase in the number of Nigerian pilgrims currently settling in Makkah ahead of the commencement of core Hajj rituals.
