Saudi Arabia has deployed more than 500 digital services to coordinate Hajj operations for overseas pilgrims as preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage gather pace across 78 countries.

The digital system, operated through the Electronic Track, connects pilgrim affairs offices, service providers and relevant Saudi government and operational bodies ahead of 2027 Hajj.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently completed preparation meetings with pilgrim affairs offices from 78 countries, covering key operational areas including accommodation, transportation, catering, group movement and pilgrim guidance.

The Electronic Track links more than 5,000 service providers and over 80 government and operational bodies, providing a central platform for completing contracts and coordinating arrangements for pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom.

According to the ministry, the system is designed to accelerate procedures, document contracts and strengthen coordination among overseas pilgrim affairs offices, approved service providers and Saudi authorities.

The ministry said it is also monitoring the readiness of each pilgrim affairs office throughout the preparation cycle to identify and resolve potential problems before the arrival of pilgrims.

The preparations cover the Comprehensive Package procedures and contracts with approved service providers, alongside the requirements governing different stages of the Hajj operation.

The ministry commenced preparations for Hajj 1448 on 12 Dhul Hijjah 1447 by issuing the Preparation Document and timetable to pilgrim affairs offices.

It subsequently reviewed the previous Hajj season and identified areas requiring improvement in coordination with relevant authorities.

The Preparation Document sets out the stages of preparation, responsibilities of participating parties and deadlines for completing each phase, allowing the ministry to monitor compliance and readiness before the operational stage.

The latest development underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing reliance on digital coordination to manage the complex logistics of receiving and serving millions of pilgrims from around the world.

For overseas pilgrims, the system is expected to make key administrative and service arrangements more structured by bringing contracts and operational coordination into a unified digital framework.
