2027 Hajj: NAHCON Fixes Fares, Deadlines

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced approved fares for the 2027 Hajj, with intending pilgrims expected to pay between N7.56 million and N7.88 million, depending on their departure zones.
The Commission, in a public notice issued on Friday, said the fares were approved by the Federal Government after consultations with the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and key service providers in Saudi Arabia.
NAHCON said the approved fares also took into account prevailing exchange rates and service costs, in line with the Federal Government’s commitment to transparency, cost efficiency and pilgrims’ welfare.
Under the new fare structure, pilgrims from the Maiduguri/Yola Zone will pay N7,560,822, while those from the Northern Zone will pay N7,672,822.
Those departing from the Southern Zone will pay N7,882,822.
The Commission said intending pilgrims who had already deposited N5 million must pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.
It directed new registrants to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or through participating banks under the approved Hajj Savings Scheme.
NAHCON also fixed September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.
The Commission said the deadline was set in strict compliance with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s requirements, stressing that no extension would be granted.
It further fixed December 2, 2026, as the deadline for states to complete the remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares.
According to NAHCON, timely remittance is critical because data synchronisation and seat allocations for Nigerian pilgrims depend on states meeting the payment deadline.
The Commission warned that failure to meet the prescribed deadlines would lead to the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
NAHCON consequently urged intending pilgrims and state pilgrims’ welfare authorities to ensure timely completion of payments and biometric data uploads to avoid losing their allocated slots for the 2027 pilgrimage.
