2026 Hajj: Edo Board Commences Pilgrims’ Data Capture on NUSUK Platform
By Abdulrazaq Auwal
The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the capture of intending pilgrims’ data and international passports on the Saudi-controlled MASAR-NUSUK platform, marking a critical phase in preparations for the upcoming Hajj.
MASAR-NUSUK is the official pilgrims’ data management system operated by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs. The platform centralises documentation, streamlines data verification, and ensures full compliance with operational requirements communicated to Nigeria through the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Officials of the Board said the exercise is strategically aimed at fast-tracking visa processing while improving coordination and operational efficiency for Edo pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj.
The Board has urged all intending pilgrims to cooperate fully with designated officials by presenting valid international passports and other mandatory documents to guarantee seamless registration on the platform.
In a press statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, the Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musa Muhammad Uduimoh, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and pilgrim-centred service delivery throughout the Hajj preparation cycle.
He stressed that Edo State’s adoption of the MASAR-NUSUK platform aligns the state with international best practices and current Saudi regulatory standards, positioning its pilgrims for a smooth, compliant, and disruption-free Hajj experience.
