The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has secured official operational licences from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health for its medical clinics and outposts established to serve Nigerian pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The approval, issued on Monday, 11th May 2026, authorises NAHCON medical teams to commence full healthcare service delivery across designated locations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the Commission’s operational readiness for the pilgrimage season.
Under the arrangement, NAHCON has deployed strategically positioned clinics and medical outposts to deliver primary healthcare services to Nigerian pilgrims.
These include medical consultations, first aid interventions, and treatment of minor ailments, aimed at ensuring immediate and accessible care within pilgrims’ accommodation zones.
In line with established protocols, NAHCON requires pilgrims seeking medical attention at its facilities to present their Nusuk Card alongside their International Passport for proper identification, registration, and clinical documentation.
NAHCON will refer cases requiring advanced or specialised medical intervention to accredited Saudi healthcare institutions, including King Fahd Hospital and other designated referral centres within the Kingdom.
NAHCON further confirmed that its Madinah Clinic has been fully operational for the past four days, already providing active medical support to Nigerian pilgrims residing in the holy city.
According to the Management of the commission in a statement, the licensed facilities include: NAHCON Clinic in Shara Sittin Area, NAHCON Clinic Misfalah in Al-Tadwa Area and the NAHCON Clinic in Mansour Street Area, all in Makkah.
The facilities are located across key pilgrim concentration zones in Makkah, including Umm Al-Qura Street, Ibrahim Khalil Street, and Mansour Street, ensuring optimal coverage and rapid response capacity.
The development is widely regarded as a critical milestone in NAHCON’s 2026 Hajj operational framework, underscoring its commitment to safeguarding the health, safety, and overall welfare of Nigerian pilgrims throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.
