The Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission has warned intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj against making Hadaya payments through unauthorised channels, saying Saudi authorities have directed that all subscriptions must be processed through the NUSUK MASAR platform.

The Acting Executive Chairman of the Commission, Khalifa Abubakar Salihu, disclosed this during a stakeholders’ meeting with Hajj schedule officers from the state’s 21 local government areas on Monday in Yola.

Salihu said the Saudi Arabian authorities had made payment through the official digital platform compulsory for the 2027 Hajj, warning that payments made outside the approved channel would constitute a violation of Saudi regulations.

He cautioned that pilgrims who subscribe to Hadaya through unauthorised channels could face sanctions from Saudi authorities, urging officials to ensure that intending pilgrims understand and comply with the new requirement.

“Saudi Arabia has cautioned that any Hadaya subscription made outside of the NUSUK MASAR system is considered a violation of national regulations,” he said.

The Acting Executive Chairman stressed that the payment requirement was particularly important because compliance was linked to the issuance of Hajj visas.

He consequently directed the 21 LGA schedule officers to return to their respective local government areas and immediately begin sensitising intending pilgrims on the approved payment procedure.

The meeting also featured the release of Hajj seat allocations for the 21 local government areas, with Salihu explaining that the distribution was designed to ensure equitable access to the available slots across the state.

He urged the schedule officers to communicate the updates effectively to intending pilgrims and ensure that they were adequately informed about the new requirements ahead of the 2027 pilgrimage.

The development forms part of the commission’s preparations for the 2027 Hajj, particularly efforts to strengthen coordination with local government officials and ensure that intending pilgrims comply with the requirements communicated by Saudi authorities.
