The Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed the successful relocation of all pilgrims from Gombe State from Madinah to Makkah ahead of the commencement of the 2026 Hajj rites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Chairman of the Board and Emir of Dukku, Haruna Abdulkadir Rasheed, alongside the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sa’adu Hassan, supervised the relocation exercise.

According to the board, all 961 intending pilgrims from the state arrived safely in Makkah after completing their stay and visitation in Madinah.

The board stated that the pilgrims are in good health, energetic, and fully prepared for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The development comes as other Nigerian states continue the airlift of their registered intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for this year’s pilgrimage.

So far, Nigerian authorities have airlifted 18,843 pilgrims from 16 states to Saudi Arabia as nationwide Hajj operations continue to progress steadily.
